Mitta back for number ten in 2026

Saturday, March 21, 2026 will see the tenth running of the Mitta Mountain Rally having been conducted annually since 2016 except for a last-minute COVID cancellation in 2020.

The first round of the Victorian Rally Championship, the Victorian Club Rally Series and the East Coast Classic Rally Series, the Mitta Mitta based event will consist of six stages, all used once only, totalling 160 competitive kilometers run blind without pace notes. There will be four new stages including a 48 km stage on roads never used before.

Organisers hope to build on the exciting introduction of bikes last year with more bike entries.

As it has done for each year of its existence, the event will be based at the Mitta Recreation Reserve and provide a relaxed hub for the event.

Local volunteers will ensure competitors will be fed and watered during the day, with a post-event trophy presentation taking place on the Saturday evening at the Mitta Mitta Pub.

Supplementary Regulations for the event aim to be available by the end of January, with organisers accepting entries from the release date of those regulations.
